ABOUT
Originally from Kerrville, Texas, Kä Neunhoffer began her music studies as soon as her grandmother could get her to sit upright by herself at the piano. Later she found passions in flute and guitar which, with her expanding musical vocabulary, led to her natural interest in composition. After completing her degree in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music, Kä moved to Los Angeles where she worked for award winning composers Jeff Russo then Hans Zimmer. Her unique Texan-German heritage and classical training combined with her outlandish creativity and exposure to the current popular concert music world come out in her eccentric, singular works.
She now works as an independent film and visual media composer and sits as the Artistic Director of Les Femmes Cinq. Kä has established herself with a library of work including film, theater, ballet, and two albums. In 2021 Kä co-founded HillShapes where she sits as their resident composer and music producer.
